Habits provide structure, familiarity, and comfort to our lives, even when they have negative repercussions into our health, making them part of who we are as we perform them naturally. ” I need my coffee immediately after waking up, otherwise I don’t feel awake!” – Some bad habits are also addictive, making them even more difficult to give up.

First and foremost, becoming aware that habits don’t serve us or are impacting our health negatively is crucial to take the first step to improve our wellness and health. Well, it´s not easy for one to change habits from night to day, specially if those habits are being carried out for years, generations, ingrained in your personalities and beliefs. Imagine if you grew up sleeping late every night and waking tired became common and tolerable, dictating a whole routine during your day, where focus and concentration lacks as a result of a sleep deprived body, or eating cornflakes every morning, and coffee, ´´I don’t feel awake without my coffee´´, and then goes another one and another one, causing years of negative repercussions in your body.
